We participate in a microlending non-profit called Kiva.  Kiva helps individuals all over the world with direct support for projects like building bathrooms and other home sanitation projects.  Kiva also helps small business owners expand their enterprises through purchasing additional livestock or seeds, improving irrigation, purchasing supplies, etc.

 

The money we lend through Kiva is repaid by the borrower, and then lent again to another borrower.  Since we started partnering with Kiva, we have funded loans totaling $67,015 to 514 individuals in 60 countries.  WOW!!
